Load Cell Selection

2 posts in this topic

I am looking for suggestions on selecting a load cell to be used in the food industry. I am looking at a dampened one from Tedea-Huntleigh or a undampened load cell from Hardy. The load cell will be used in a washdown enviorment that is about 60 F. We will communicate with the load cell with a Hary Mod. in a SLC 503.

Personally, I've never heard of those load cells, maybe I don't get out much. I've used Sensotec and Cooper http://www.mrplc.com/sites/moreinfo.cgi?145 Cooper http://www.mrplc.com/sites/moreinfo.cgi?206 Sensotec Both places have amplifiers that can be purchased with VOLTS or AMP outputs. I've had extremely good luck using both, they have a wide selection, and the sales staff is very knowledgable when you call them on the phone. I was also impressed with there stock, generally Sensotec has a turn around time of one to two weeks. I've crushed many load cells in my days, and I am glad Sensotec keep them on hand....
