Replacing thumb wheel

Hello , every one 

This thumbwheel has 10×3 input in my plc 

Ones, tens and hundreds 

It breaks down continuously 

I want to replace it to three 7 segment

Any one can help

i think last time those were made was in the 70s. they may be falling apart on their own, without user touching them.

why not use something more recent like HMI? you get way more bang for the buck...

or use panel mount LED/LCD counter module as a display, together with encoder or pair of buttons (increment/decrement) as input.

A little tip because I do not knoy why things break. If you have rough work envirorment or just people with out braincells working . I would stongly advise using the normal industial sping push buttons and use the HMI only as a display. Because at my place of work, we used to order like 20-40 HMI schreen replacements a year.

so to tackle that , (because we work with idiots) we now use physical industrial buttons to change speed , start up machines to reset machine and use HMI only for display.
