PLC to Server communciation

4 posts in this topic

Hi all,

There is a scenario where I need to connect PLC to a Server and get data on KEPServerEX.

PLC (micrologix 1400 password protected)

IP-192.168.1.10

subnet-255.255.255.0

Gateway- 192.168.1.1

Server

IP-10.10.91.11

Subnet- 255.255.254.0

Gateway- 10.10.91.1

Is there any way out to establish communication between these two without any modification in server/PLC by any additional h/w means (switch/router)?

Thanks in advance.

1:1 NAT should do it.

Or just a bog-standard router between the two subnets.  The instance of Kepware will need to be configured to point at the MicroLogix.  There's no magic to make the connection happen without that part.
