Unable to connect to PLC via VPN.

4 posts in this topic

  • I have a PLC connected to a router and am able to access it over wifi.
  • The router hosts a VPN server and I have established a connection to it and can access other devices.
  • I am unable to ping/ connect to PLC.

Anyone know why? Have tried disabling firewall on my remote computer.

Did you enable any kind of routing on the remote end so packets from your machine know how to navigate to the PLC and back?  A VPN itself doesn't provide that.

Are you saying this based on the "Test Connection" button results? Sometimes this feature doesn't work over a VPN but you can still go online.

Hi Sir,

Iam confuse about the procedures for Connecting remotely into simatic cpu through teamviewer VPN

in a certain document in internet " JesperMP "  describes to enable IP routing in remote PC .

In other document describes to enable IP routing  in office PC.

In other document, enable IP routing in both PC.

I do not know what is the correct.

Can you explain this point?

Thank you in advance.
