CPM1A with touch NB

10 posts in this topic

Hello to all the forum, I have a CPM1A plc connected with an NT2S-CN212-V1 cable to a NT3S-ST121B-E touch screen. I wanted to ask you if it is possible to connect the plc to a touch NB by changing the cable or is it mandatory to use a CIF-01 interface. Thank you all

You will need to use a CPM1-CIF01 and the correct cable.

is it possible to create a cable instead of the CPM1-CIF01?. I was looking for the CIF01 diagrams on the forum but I can't find them

No.

It converts the TTL level signals that the handheld programmer uses to RS232 serial levels.

Check ebay for used CPM1-CIF01.

Sorry again. Could the CPM1-CIF02 fit by any chance?

Just my opinion.... You should really consider replacing that PLC with a CP1L or CP1E with a built-in serial port. The CPM1 is obsolete and the cost wouldn't be very much. Your connections to PC and HMI would be much easier and wouldn't require the purchased cables and converters.

The old peripheral port converters can be very confusing and expensive.

Your reasoning is more than correct, the problem is that the customer doesn't want to spend
