Dear All ,

i Have FX3uc-64mt/d    plc. i am getting confused about its wiring .

In manual it is mentioned that plc can be run on both sink and source while when i connect only OV to any pin it indicates the input high. although no signal is given to common terminal . can anybody explain me this phenomenon.

thanks in advance.

You, have an s/s terminal.

Connected 24V to it then the inputs will react to 0.

Connect the 0V to it and the inputs react to 24V.

Dear Gambit.,

i know about the s/s terminal . but there is not s/s terminal . only diagrams i have . as you can see in this pictures. but without connecting common terminal to any potential when i connect 0v to any pin it indicates the input high.

It would appear that it depends which polarity the COM is connected to as to wether the inputs source or sink examine the diagrams closely with regards to the COM terminals.

exactly... COMx terminals here are the same thing as S/S terminal.

btw the second image ("3. Examples of source input wiring") has correct circuit but wrong label next to sensor. it should say PNP sensor instead of NPN.
