Posted 11 May Hello, I currently have a PLC in a machine that is a CP1H. A newly developed machine uses a CP2E PLC. The newly developed machine is supposed to communicate with the CP1H where the CP2E is a slave. I am not able to find much documentation on this specific set-up. I was wondering how to set this up. As the shared words of each PLC are on different adresses. I can't really find any documentation or any examples on how to do this. Can somebody help me with where to start with this? kind regards, Ralf
Posted 11 May (edited) There are a few different ways... What communication interfaces do you have on them? Edited 11 May by photovoltaic
Posted 11 May Currently i'm trying to use RS485. Mainly because some machines in the field have different PLCs.
Posted 11 May I would research PC Link. Note, sometimes this is referred to as Serial PLC Link. CP1H would be the master and CP2E would be the slave. For the CP2E check the V614 manual Section 14, Serial PLC Link. For the CP1H addressing is CIO 3100 to CIO 3189. Data exchange is automatic. Hope this helps. gtsuport
