factorytalkview v5 .mer

Hello
I have a program that was made by factorytalk view V5 with extension .mer
I couldn't open it with version 6. Is there a solution? is there anyone who can convert it to me in apa or .med

It was at v5 that they started allowing the database to be decompiled, but the person compiling the mer file had to select the option to make it convertible. When I try to open your file in v8.2, it says it "was saved in an older format that does not support conversion to a development application". I downloaded and installed v5.0 on a Windows XP Virtual Machine and it gave the same error.

I found a tech note (BF19959, access level: TechConnect) that says that the error message means that the mer file is v4.0 or older. If that's the case, I'm afraid you're mostly out of luck.

There is another tech note (QA611, access level: TechConnect) that talks about a partial recovery of v4.0 and older runtime files. It's a pretty involved process, though, and requires the use of ME Station which is separately licensed.
