Allen Bradley CompactLogix 1769 controller and Keyence Laser marker MLZ9600 series

HI,

I am trying to communicate and transfer data from my AB controller to the Keyence laser marker. They are communicating via ethernet. To test it, I sent 5 ASCII character to the laser. But every time, laser would receive and display only one character. I spoke with Keyence rep and did all setting as per manual. no luck. What could be possibly wrong I am doing?

Did you setup the Input and output data bits correctly ? Also i would check all the input tags in the PLC to make sure you see each character ? Try sending 2 or 3 characters and check if you see them.

I figured it out and its working. You were right. Every settings and input/output tags in PLC were correct. Initially, I was sending 8 bit data to the laser marker instead of 16 bit. So for 8 bit data, the laser marker was seeing '0'  in its upper 8 bit and stop communication. I ddn't know its data format before. Thank you for your help.
