Trigger display print with tag on FactoryTalk View ME

Hi all,

I have an application where two buttons are created:

• End Batch: "Momentary Push Button" that modifies the value of a tag.
• Print Report: "Display Print Button" that generates PDF with a screenshot of the current screen.

I would like to mix both buttons into one single button that does this functionality at once. I have been reviewing forums and it seems that the only way to do that would be by using VBA code but I believe that this is not available on FactoryTalk View ME but only on SE.

Would anyone know a way of printing a PDF screenshot + modifying a tag at the same time and with a single button on FactoryTalk View ME?

I know that the PV+ HMIs support macros. It may be possible to put that functionality in a macro that's executed by a button. I've never done it, though, so I can't give you any details.
