NB Designer - How to import graphics?

NB Designer Version 1.531

 

None of the methods described in the manual works. What do I need to do to get a simple bitmap or a .png file in to the project?

 

 

EDIT:

OK. Just found the solution right after I posted this. One has to create a new graphics which then gives the option to import various types. What is the "import Graphics" function shown above used for?
