Fx5U pimple CPU com with S7

3 posts in this topic

Hi all.

The latest FX5 firmware enables simple CPU communication over ethernet (that includes S7-300/400 PLCs).

I need to read some data blocks from S7-300.

The manual says first 3 digits = DB number (1-255) and last 3 digits for the word address in the block.

Is that mean that i can't read DB1101, since DB001-255 are allawed, or i'm missing somthing here?

that is my interpretation as well.... range is 001000 to 255511 where first three digits represent DB number. so DB001 - DB255.

Well... it is what it is.

I'll just stick with GOT Simple data transfer between S7 and FX5.

i was just hoping to eliminate the intermediary and make the comms more simple and reliable.

Thank you panic mode.
