CONVERT GX-IEC Developer to GX Works 2

I believe that conversion is possible, but have no idea how?

Hi Gambit,

I've tried that. I selected the "Open other data", then "Open other project". The selected "SOFTCTRL.PRO" in the project file.

 

Result: PLC type of this project is not supported by this function. Cannot open the project.

I should have mentioned that the PLC in question is an A2AS-s30.

I've uploaded the file. Maybe there is some voodoo you can think of. I tried converting to Q series in IEC Developer. Tons of errors .

aha I see. That's right A series PLC can only be programmed with GX and GX IEC Developer.

However you should be able to convert to System Q and than import into GX 2

I have taken a small look at your project. after you've changed to a system Q you will need to define File registers and there are three label with an special adres

M9036 => SM400

M9038 => SM402

These are also programmed directly in your program instead of labels. you will need to change those as well.

There are also some very old LED instructions which can be converted to simple dedicated instructions. But this has to be done manually.
