SEW EURODRIVE MOVITRAC ISSUE, motor vibrates

7 posts in this topic

Hello guy, I'm having an issue with a drive, when I connect any motor to that drive the motor shakes when it's trying to work. The same motors connected to another drive (same exact drive) works totally fine. What can be?

Is the drive possibly single phasing it's output?

Check that the DC Voltage at the output of the drive is correct.

Sew Movitrac is a programmable drive.  Are you absolutely sure both drives are programmed identical?

The thing is that it was working and suddenly that issue came up.

A three phase induction motor requires all three to be present to start rotating from a stop.  Jitter or vibrate instead of start usually means a lost phase.  i"d suspect wiring or the drive.

You were right. In the output of the Drive i have the cables  U, V and W. I have the same voltage between U - V and U - W but between V - W the voltage is lower.  Those cables go to the motor. I assume the problem is the drive since it was working fine. So, what should i do now?

Make sure you backup the programming of the drive either with software or paper record and replace the drive would be my next moves.
