In omron Sysmac Under configuration tab --- axis setting----- Operation Setting 

Under Monitor Heading there is a term " In-Position Range" and " Zero Position Range " what does these term means and what happen if we increase or decrease value under these term.

Those set how close the position must be to the target position for the movement to be considered complete.

  • In Position Range is when the controller says the motion is complete (it's reached its target position)
  • Zero Position Range indicates how close the motion has to be to the zero (home) position to be considered at home

This is detailed in the Motion Control User's Manual W507.  See section 5.2.4

Will it control overshooting of position in NX1 P2 controller ??

It controls the accuracy of the final position.  Overshoot can be resolved by properly tuning the servos and applying acceleration and deceleration to your move.
