Timer with no defined register value

9 posts in this topic

Doing an upgrade from an A3U ACPU to a Q-Series PLC.

In the old ladder logic, there is a Timer with an assigned register.

T435 with D435 assigned to it.

If I search for D435 to see what it is defined as, nothing shows up.

Is there a default value? What kind of behavior would you expect from this timer?

Thanks for any help.

Hi

Can this be a device that receives it's value from some kind of communication? Is D435 latched?

Is there a HMI or a Scada connected  to the to the PLC. D435 is a data register and can receive a value from these devices.

Also, if there are no hmi or other devices that can write to that register, the value can be directly entered through the software.

Good point. But then MrMeeseeks should find that D435 is latched.

If it does not appear anywhere in the program then how could it be latched.
