omega (OLD) Omega PLC, Litterature / Skill

24 posts in this topic

Hi.

I am looking for help.
A client of mine has an old Omega PLC (Yellow/orange looking).

Either help in sweden, or english/swedish litterature how to operate the computer software, such as loggin values, "go online" etc.

We have an old Win98 computer with the software required to get online, but nobody here knows the software.

A photo might help identify what you have.

Are you sure 'Omega' is the PLC or could Omega be just the HMI display?

Hi.

Its nearly impossibly to get photo permissoin here because of secure area.

The plc it self is an omega brand, no hmi other than PC:s with the correct communication setup.

This specific plc was put in 1998 at this factory.

As the software splash screen shows you, it's a BauMuller (u umlaut with correct spelling) product (Omaga makes nothing, private labels everything).

web searches turn up parts described as Baumuller-Omega:

Baumuller is still around.  Have one of your buddies who's fluent in German give them a call, maybe an old guy still has an English manual for the old stuff

Technical document called "System short instructions Omega".  Describes hardware and shows software overview.

Hello SKA AB,

I have same problem here with same type and devices of Baumuller Omega.

I need to "online" with this Omega but I don't have any idea about the software to use or the manual book.

Is it possible to send me the software driver and the manual book?

Thank you.
