Posted 29 Apr 2020 I want to display the current time of day on mt Micro HMI, EA3-T6CL. Is there a function for this? How can I get the TOD to display?
Posted 29 Apr 2020 I'm not sure there is an option to display time of day on these Micro HMIs. I have a couple of them here but I don't see an option to configure this in the software. These are great little units but have their limitations. I have found the support from Automation Direct pretty good with all their products. It might be worth dropping them a quick email if no-one else jumps in with a solution. techbox@Automationdirect.com
Posted 29 Apr 2020 Any chance the PLC has a clock? In Rockwell, there is a wall clock that can be access by a GSV (Get System Value) that places the month, day, year, hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds in a array. If your PLC has something like that then you could use simple numeric displays on the Micro. 1 person likes this
Posted 12 May 2020 I don't think the EA3 panels have a built in clock, the EA9 series does. The suggestion above if the PLC has a clock would work fine. Mike
Posted 12 May 2020 You would have to read the time and date from the connected PLC. Using the Numeric Display Indicator on the screen you would point to the Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Day, Month or Year variables in the PLC. https://accautomation.ca/c-more-micro-hmi-object-buttons-and-indicators/ Here is a series on the EA3 HMIhttps://accautomation.ca/series/c-more-micro-hmi/ Regards, Garry
