PanelView600: does it store parameters to run machine?

3 posts in this topic

Hello all. We have an AB tubing end former that has a PV600. It is flickering more and more so we're looking to change it out.

It sounds like to access the panel i need PanelBuilder32, which is hard to get.

I've found how to access configuration screen on PV600. It says it is possible to transfer files using memory card. It mentions .pva file.

What is a .pva file? Is this just the file used to run the PV600? Are the settings to run the end former also in the PV600, or are they somewhere else? I've seen mention of a .mem file type.

Thanks for any info you can send my way.

Marty

The .pva is the compiled application file that contains the graphics, alarming, tag database and communication driver.

The .pba would have been the original project in PanelBuilder 32.

Within FTView ME, when creating a new project, you'll see an import button at the bottom.  One of the accepted file formats is .pva, .pba is also acceptable.

Hopefully TW will chime in on this one.  It might be possible for him to refrub your unit or help you with services to migrate to the PV+6 or 7 platform.
