Produced and Consumed Tags

How can I determine if both my Produced and Consumed tags are communicating with each other, and if have the right set of tags since I forgot how I named them?  Is there a way to confirm that both my P & C are communicating.

Change the value in the produced tag and see if it changes in the consumed?
