PLC and Unity 3D Communication via Ethernet/IP

2 posts in this topic

Hey Everyone,

I'm working on a project that involves interacting with a physical device controlled by a MicroLogix via a mobile app designed with Unity 3D. I've come across some material involving Modbus and TCP/IP but really nothing utilizing Ethernet/IP. Has anyone done anything like this or know of some resources that could shed some light on it? I would be interested in Modbus and TCP/IP resources also, as I've found little documentation on this too. Feel free to ask about specifics, starting out vague until I get some some feedback. Thanks for the help!

Well, it's a micrologix which uses PCCC through CIP. It's not exactly Ether/IP but you can use the MSG instruction to read and write the assemblies.
There's an android app called Suppanel that works well with Micrologix and is rather affordable.
