Hi, please how can the card number of an expansion module be identified, and how to configure expansion in RSlogix 500

Hi please, i will like to learn a few things about expansion module, how can the card number of an expansion module be identified, 

how can the configuration of an expansion module be achieved using RSLogix 500, an example will be the expansion module attached here in the micrologix series

On the left hand side of showing the project tree, this is a section called IO Configuration.  Add you specific module to a specific slot, compile and download to the controller, but ensure that the module is present.  Otherwise the processor will fault.

Unless the labels have been removed, the module will have a catalog number on it. For the module in the photo you attached, open the door covering the wiring terminals and the part number is printed at the bottom of the label. There should be another label on the side of the module that gives its catalog number and version. Then do what pcmccartney1 suggested to add it to the PLC program.

They are automatically number with the PLC being Slot 0 left to right.

the card number of an expansion module can be identified from Left to Right , and same needs to be configured in IO configuration , if you are not able to read cat no on module then in IO configuration there is also option named "Read io cofiguration" that will read your existing installed io configuration.
