1746-NO8V configuration

3 posts in this topic

Looking for a little help.  Replaced a 1746-NO8V analog card that hadn't been working for years and the new card is giving a Configuration Error (Module LED flashes twice, all 8 outputs are flashing 12 times).  I have 2 other of the same cards in the same rack that have been working for a very long time and still working that seem to be configured the same way.  Is there any way to know what is wrong with my configuration.  or maybe my new card is just bad???  I have not yet swapped one of my working cards with the new card, have considered but really think I'm missing something.

Can you go online with the PLC? If you can then look at word S:6 for the error code.

See page 6-4 here:

See page B-26 here for a complete list of error codes and what they mean:

Thanks for your response, yes I can go online with the processor, and there is nothing displayed in S:6. If I understand correctly S:6 is for a Major Fault and this is not a Major Fault, the processor is still happy, Just this card seems to be faulted which is new to me as a faulted card would normally fault the processor.
