SUPERVISION OF A CHAIN

I have 6 PLCs CPM2A and 4 PLCs CP1LM
I'm going to network them to do the supervision and data acquisition from each PLC
and connects them to a pc via an ethernet port
So what are the hardware and software used?

Welcome to the forum.

The CP1L-M can connect to Ethernet using the CP1W-CIF41 communication module that plugs into the front of the unit.

The CPM2A units will require a bit more.  If the on board RS-232 connector is not being used you could connect a serial to Ethernet converter.

If that port is being used, you could connect a CPM1-CIF01 to the peripheral port then connect the serial to Ethernet converter.

You must understand the Omron 9 pin port is NOT a standard pin out, so you will need to create your own cables.

Omron at one time had used the Digi One SP converter, but I don't think that relationship is still in place.

Software, most SCADA/HMI software will support Omron FINS protocol.  Omron is partnered with InduSoft.

It's possible tout connect them via rs485

Then use an adapter( sériel /éthernet)  to pc ?

Each plc will require a separate serial to Ethernet adapter with a unique IP address.

CPM1-CIF11 is a peripheral port to RS485 adapter.  The Digi One SP can be configured for RS232 or RS485.

I thought about an adapter rs232/rs485 in each one

Then i Will make à network between thé plcs. 

And finaly to connect with à pc i Will use an adapter (sériel ethernet

As far as I know, CPM2A does not support One-to-many communications such as RS-485. Even if you use an adapter, RS-485 will require Unit Address on it's data packets, which CPM2A does not support, so in the end you cannot divide data by PLC.

I think the most possible way is to have your CPM2A serial port hooked onto a Serial-Ethernet adapter, with the Ethernet side is configurable so that it is detected as a Virtual Serial Port in a PC. We need it to be acknowledged as a Virtual Serial Port because CPM2A cannot decode any Ethernet protocols, and Softwares that supports monitoring CPM2A (for example CX-Supervisor) will not be configurable to connect to the CPM2A via Ethernet protocols.

I've been discussing a similar issue on this thread  on which it also mentioned a particular Serial-Ethernet adapter that is able to be detected as a Virtual Serial Port

ok since the CPM2A will NOT MAKE COMMUNICATION
I guess I'm going to work with CP1L
and I'm going to add the adaptator CP1W CIF 41
Can I supervise and acquire data with cx supervisior?

also i can connect all the PLCS via RS485 

and supervise its with cx supervisor

i can supervise from usb port

as you know CP1L  have a usb port

for the CPM2A i will need an  usb adapter (CIF 02 )

The question is how long you can have the USB cable before it fails you... typically 15 meter is the most reliable length of that cable...

For the CP1L, yes you can do it that way.
For the CPM2A, yes you can use CQM1-CIF02 for the converter. On the PC side, it must be interpreted as a Virtual Serial Port (basically don't forget to install the USB Drivers).

Technically yes, you can do it.
The problem will fall with the speed of your monitoring system... You might considering to use a USB hub so that you can have 8 USB ports for each PLCs... but then again personally I don't think USB is the most reliable communication in terms of speed. Don't forget to consider this as the requirement.

please do not find the cx simulator in the cx one
can you send me the setup?
or how does the simulatin of a program with cx supervisor?
