2 posts in this topic

Hello, i would to know if there is differences to replace a 1747-L552B/C CPU with a 1747-L552. We have some problems to find in Europe a exactly type of this cpu (it's also much expensive), but there are avaible many  L552 code.

Best regards, Ennio

The 1747-L552 is an SLC-5/05 model programmable controller from Allen-Bradley.

The "Series C" hardware letter designates a modern CPU, which has important features like a 10/100 Mb Full Duplex Ethernet port, while the older Series A and Series B controllers had only a slower 10 Mb Half Duplex Ethernet port.

Series C hardware is usually designated with the "/C" suffix.

While many features are the same, I do not recommend trying to replace a modern CPU with an old one.

The older CPUs are probably less expensive because there is lower demand for a unit with less capability.
