Posted 22 Sep 2017 Is it possible to communicate from a PC program to PLC program for reading inputs and setting outputs? How can it be made ? is it possible to do from TER connector or AUX connector , without special comm module?
Posted 22 Sep 2017 If you are looking to read and write controller data, OPC used to be the best way to go. Many OPC servers, such as Kepware, have drivers for an assortment of PLC equipment, including the older Telemecanique PLCs. The serial protocol was called Unitelway. Posted 25 Sep 2017 Thank you for the rapid answer, OPC is on the PC side, but what about PLC? I mean, do I have to do any special programs to read and write io? or can it be done directly by configuration?
Posted 26 Sep 2017 With Opc on a pc it is done directly. Nothing needed on plc. But if you can do some coding on visual basic you can write your own protocol. But bein unitelway that might be a bit of a problem
Posted 26 Sep 2017 Agree uni-telway seems a problem, I still can not find a OPC server for that protocol....
Posted 26 Sep 2017 BS... I said Kepware, and I verified in their website it's supported.
