Transfer Memory Card via Ethernet

3 posts in this topic

I am trying to transfer a file from the memory card on a CS1G CPU44 to my pc via ethernet in CX-Supervisor. The problem is it is extremly slow. I am connecting to the plc via the CX-Supervisor Communications Utilities/PLC Memory Card and then just trying to drag and drop the file to my local pc. The plc is connected via controller link to a head in plc that has a ETN-01 ethernet Unit.

Sorry kfarmer, but i don't have a solution. But i believe the problem is that the plc is trying to maintain its scan time and therefore can only allocate a certain amount of time slice per scan to service the FTP call for the file transfer. Hence the slowness of the transfer. I could be totally wrong but ..... i cannot think of another reason. Jay might be able to correct me if i am wrong...
