Posted 7 Jun 2017 Has somebody experience with Chinese PLCs like Haiwell. I saw this brand on a Dutch website. It's cheap, free development tools and free (cloud based) SCADA, simulator build in. A bit Siemens look-a-like at the outside. Has somebody done a project with Haiwell? Or with other Chinese PLC brands. Please let me know about your pro's and con's because my customer wants to use it for packaging machines. Thanks in advance.
Posted 8 Jun 2017 Got anyone local who can support it? I won't waste time with a product that can't get support for. That's the first reason i stick to name brands. Parts and support availability.
Posted 10 Jun 2017 You should consider this very carefully. Crossbow has a very got point here ! Who will give you support when the **** hits the fan ? Your customer will for sure be on your *** when something goes wrong with his machine. The Chinese systems are cheap for a reason, and that's not only because lower salory. Posted 10 Jun 2017 Thank you all for the comments. I think you are right. We check for some other brand. Thanks
Posted 27 Jun 2017 Thanks. Yes, I think so too, that Haiwell is very suitable for OEM's and machine builders. Not so suitable for large projects like water purification plants with a lot of IO
