GT Simulator

I am trying to use GT simulator 3 for HMI (GS series)  and GX simulator 2 for PLC (FX3G series).

All the time i try to activate the simulator i get an error message as,

Failed to connect with GX simulator 2

<ES:1808008>

Failed to GetSimProjectInfo.

Are you sure that you choose GS series?On you screen it is GT27.

On my screen all works good.

Done all the settings as shown in images but still unable to run the simulator.

What is version of software did you use?I had same problem when trying connect GT simulator3 and GX simulator 3, i have fixed if by downloading last version GT Works 1.70 and GX Works 2 1.550Y. Last version of GX Works 2 can going with GX Works 3 (at this moment 1.032J).

i have had issues with the simulators. they seem to pick and chose what works and what doesnt on each install. have you tried selecting any of the other simulators?

on the drop down list where you select GX simulator 2, there should be some other options. i generally just try those and one tends to work.

 

its probably due to how you install the software or something!?

Actually I got GT Simulator from my friend. Did not download it form website. 

I tried but did not get any proper website that'll give me a link for download.

Did you run the simulator in GX Works2 before attempting to run simulator in GT Designer. The simulator runs in conjunction with the Works2 simulator. You cannot run it separately.

If you 'got it from a friend' it's likely not installed right.  It comes free with GT Works, so you should have already had it.
