Factory Talk view ME and SE

Hi all,

I would like to know what is the difference between Factory talk view - ME and SE. I am really confuse which one to choose for my application.

ME - Used for HMIs

SE - SCADA applications

SE is also used for HMIs

ME is used to program Panelview Plus HMIs but a runtime license can be purchased to run on a PC. SE is for SCADAs and can run on a single PC or on many PCs in different locations. SE licensing is more complex also.

SE comes in different flavors.

Applications can be written for View Site Edition (Network Distributed), View Site Edition (Network Station) and View Site Edition (Local Edition)...which is like an RSView 32 project.

All can be used for their HMI capability but being part of a SCADA system is not mandatory.
