How can I find out which series or revision does not use fiber optics and halogen bulb?

The PanelView 550 got the LED backlight with the Series B hardware, in about 2004.

If you have an old one, there's a company that makes an LED retrofit for the halogen bulb that will surely run cooler.   I don't know if there are replacement options for the fiber optic bundle, though.
