Posted 8 Mar 2016 Here is a post that we recently completed on the Automation Direct USB to RS485 Adapter. The USB-485M is a 2-wire USB to RS-485 serial communication adapter for RS485 use. It does not require an external power supply or complicated configuration. It has a Type A (plug) USB connector for the computer side and a universal female RJ45/RJ12 modular connector. This will accept RJ12 and RJ45 plugs. The USB-485M supports multiple baud rates and is USB V2.0 Compliant. Read the rest of the post... Posted 31 Mar 2016 Thanks for sharing. The module seems easy to install. It reminds me of the ICP DAS tM-7561 RS-485 to USB converter. Comes with drivers for Windows 7 (32/64-bit) / XP / Vista (32/64-bit) / and Linux systems. It's very cost-effective and easy to use as well. http://www.icpdas-usa.com/tm_7561.html?gclid=CM6elJyH7MsCFUWTfgoda58HjA?r=dora
Posted 21 Jun 2016 We also have a newer version which also has drivers for Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 and Linux. This converter not only converts USB to RS-485 but also converts USB to either RS-232 or RS-422. It is USB powered and din rail mountable. http://www.icpdas-usa.com/i_7561u.html
