USB TO RS485 PC Adapter Installation

Here is a post that we recently completed on the Automation Direct USB to RS485 Adapter. 

The USB-485M is a 2-wire USB to RS-485 serial communication adapter for RS485 use. It does not require an external power supply or complicated configuration.

It has a Type A (plug) USB connector for the computer side and a universal female RJ45/RJ12 modular connector. This will accept RJ12 and RJ45 plugs.  The USB-485M supports multiple baud rates and is USB V2.0 Compliant.

Thanks for sharing. The module seems easy to install. It reminds me of the ICP DAS tM-7561 RS-485 to USB converter. Comes with drivers for Windows 7 (32/64-bit) / XP / Vista (32/64-bit) / and Linux systems. We also have a newer version which  also has drivers for  Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 and Linux.  This converter not only converts USB to RS-485 but also converts USB to either RS-232 or RS-422.  It is USB powered and din rail mountable.
