NT20S with CJ2M

5 posts in this topic

This is going back a ways.

Anybody know if the NT20S-ST121-EV3 will properly communicate to a CJ2M?

Customer is upgrading from a CQM1-CPU44 to a CJ2M.  NT20S was originally set for NT Link, but not able to set the baud rate.

Changed comms to Host Link 9600, 7, E, 2 on both, now they are getting a Setting Error HR12.

PT Control is set for HR0, PT Notify set for HR10.

I thought I remembered some issues with memory compatibility on the older NT units to newer hardware CP1, CJ2?

Anyone have any information on this or know if we need to modify the control / notify memory locations?

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Only NT20S's I have running are with C200H Alpha's.

The comms in the Alpha are 38400,   1,7,1,E    NT Link 1:1

The NT20S is set to 38400.

I would think the NT20S would communicate with the serial connection, maybe??

If communication is obtained, you will not have access to the "W" memory area.

Hope this helps.

HR12 is the PT Status area.

Try moving it to DM area.

Update.

Customer changed the PT Control and PT Notify to D memory as Jay suggested.

They tested this today and works properly.

Just thought I would post results in case someone else has this situation.

Thanks!
