Are there any goo resources out there in learning Rockwell's Structured text? Is it the same as all the other IEC 61131-3 Structured Text PLC's? Thanks in advanced for any information you can give me . Jstalman

Search for publication 1756-PM007D-EN-P at Rockwell Software (just in case you haven't already downloaded that PDF)

I map IO with structured text, calculate flow rate thru and orifice (gas and liquid), calculate rate of change, calculate tank volumes in barrels, gallons, and pounds (vertical and horizontal with 2:1 elliptical heads)... all kinds of stuff. The calc blocks are all AOI's so I can use them easily. Mapping IO is by far the simplest use but it's handy and it makes programming time short (I use an Excel spreadsheet to create the map so it's cut and paste)

It's a great tool to have in the pouch that's for sure
