wiring 24 volt lights

when wiring up an 24 volt transformer to lights on an fountaindo i wire the blue/yellow line out of the transformer that reads 24 volts together to the black wire of the lights and the white line to the common or blue line to black and yellow to white

Use a multimeter across the output wires of the Transformer to check Polarity of the output voltage, when the reading is 24V (not - 24V) then the wire connected to the red probe is the +positive. As for the lights, if the paperwork that came with them doesn't tell you anything it is all dependent an which country you are in as to the wiring code. White is usually +positive & Black -negative.
