Hi I have an AB PLC 1769 Compact I/O Module bought from a different supplier (not from Rockwell), now I want to confirm the authenticity of the same. Could you please help to find the ways to test its authenticity? Thanks

In general, Rockwell Automation sells via authorized distributors instead of directly. I've never seen counterfeit 1769 modules. If you can post photographs of the product stickers and the module itself, folks who use them regularly might be able to tell you if it looks like the genuine article.

Thanks for the reply Ken.. The unit I have looks exactly same as the original, I already have the genuine product that I have been using for few years now. I am looking for any ways to test the hardware by connecting it to some "resource", if anyone have any thoughts please share Thanks Edited by Dianne

The only method I can think of to test a module is to connect it to a controller CPU and verify that it functions correctly. What other possible method could you expect to use ?
