Proficy ME

Hello, I have been trying to obtain the software Proficy ME to a GE Fanuc series 90-30 plc and am having no such luck. I called GE who then turned me over to my local distributors. My local distributors said they could not obtain the software because their system was saying it was obsolete. I called GE back and tech support tells me he has several copies in stock but cannot sell one to me because of the written agreement between GE and the distributors. I found several on PLC center, so I give them a call to see how fast I can get it shipped in (they only had the factory 3-4 weeks ship time) I need this software pretty quick. They tell me they haven't updated the site for this item and has been since December since they sold a copy of the software so they are not 100% positive they can even get it. Does anyone know of a cross-reference software that I can purchase instead? What should I do? Does anyone know where I can purchase the software other than from the listed groups above? If GE won't sell it to me directly and my suppliers can't get a copy to sell me, doesn't seem like much help. I was just hoping someone could point me in the right direction, after sitting on hold for several hours and more or less writing a 25 page essay through google I'm losing hope. Also, if someone could send me the pin out for the cable I would appreciate that too. I was going to purchase one, but enjoy making my own. Thanks in advance! The part number you're using has probably been replaced by something else. You need to speak with someone at the distributor who knows what he's talking about. If his system says it is obsolete, he should be able to steer you to the correct item. Ask to speak with the distributor's automation specialist.

You have a good part number, it is your distributor that is obsolete. Hopefully you have another one close by.
