not able to dowload to compact logix & control logix

Hi Friends, i'm using control logix and compact logix,communicating through ethernet and i'm using virtual pc vm vare player. In rs linx the cpu i'm using which was shown as unknown device. due to this i can't able to download or upload to the device,what i have to do in ethernet ip settings.help me out of this! It is an .EDS (Electronic Data Sheet) issue. Probably your copy of RSLinx is older than the CPU's "age". You could freely download RSLinx Lite (I'd suggest at least Rev. 2.59 for a 32-bit OS or Rev. 3.60 for a 64-bit one) at http://compatibility.rockwellautomation.com/Pages/MultiProductDownload.aspx?Keyword=Free&crumb=112
