MODBUS SLAVE PLC CP1E

Hi everyone, I'm using a PLC CP1E NA20 in a projet where I need to communicate some DMs to a unknown MASTER in a Modbus RTU 485 Network. What you think is the best approach for this?? I already have a CP1W optional board for 485 communication.

Hi Asilva,
you cant make CP1E NA20 as a slave in the Modbus RTU 485 network, its only can able to act as a Master in the network,
because in a network u can use only one master, This CP1E is default master and u cant change it to slave

@asilva2094 You need to change CPU to CP1L or CP1H then combine with CP1W-CIF11/CIF12 to use Modbus Slave after that please use OMRON function blocks as shown below to commnuicate with Modbus RTU Slave.
