tsx micro and windows 7

1 post in this topic

how to connect to a tsx micro using windows xp mode on a windows 7 laptop with the tsxpsx3030 cable i'm assuming you have the unitelway driver installed \and are using pl7 pro v4.5 sp5 1. Connect the TSXPX3030 cable to the laptop usb port 2. At the top of the windows desktop you will see a blue bar, click USB and a drop down box will appear. Click attach, it should say unknown device connected. 3. click start, right click my computer, click proprerties and then device manager, click com ports and the cable should be visable there on com 1. 4. Double click the cable on com port 1 and a new window will open, click port settings, change the settings to these bits per second = 9600 data bits = 8 parity = odd stop bits = 1 flow control = none 5. Click advanced and change the settings to these use flow buffers = unticked com port number = com 1 6. The cable is now installed correctly and using the right connection settings 7. Now click start, all programs, schneider electric, communication drivers and then drivers manager. 8. A new window will open, click unitelway driver and then configuration, a new window will open, click edit and another window will open. 9. within this window you will see 3 tabs unitelway, line parameters and advanced, change the settings in these tabs to these com port = 1 unitelway slave address = base 1 numbers 3 baud rate = 9600 self adaption = unticked data bits = 8 parity = odd stop bits = 1 RTC/TX delay = unticked link type = unitelway num plc = unticked link timeout = - 1 RX/TX delay = - 1 force virtual com port = ticked 10. Click ok and then apply and the unityelway driver will reset itself 11. Plug the cable into the terminal and click connect to PLC within PL7 PRO and it should connect. 12. One thing i have noticed, is once you shut the laptop down and restart you have to go in driver manager and reset the driver for it to connect to the plc again, but other than that these settings work cheers scott
