2 posts in this topic

From PM this morning: hi i have a machine that uses a proprietary protocol that communicates at 19200 9N1 rs485, Omron has a card that read these data usually remains in my research I found only 8N1, exemple, the computer sends data to an inverter 1 0 1 3 3 E FFFFF 5 5 3 0 0 0 6 5, I need to swap the drives, but for that you have to change the protocol for details

I would be very surprised if the only difference between the protocol on the drives and the protocol implemented in the Omron card you are describing is the data framing. I have used baud rate converters for this sort of thing on RS-232 systems. You may need to convert from RS-485 to RS-232 at the Omron card side. http://www.485solutions.com/product11.asp?sku=232BRC http://serialgadget.com/
