WinCC-S5 Communication Problem

hi all, I have 2 redundant WinCC servers connected to four PLCs via Etherenet.All the 6 devices are connected to different ports of an ESM. Problem: The comunication between WinCC and the PLC is too slow.It takes around 5 secs where as the acceptable delay is below 2 sec.What can be the possible reasons. I kindly request for some help.IF any clarifications is required please let me know. Thankyou, CLP
