Counter Instruction Problem

5 posts in this topic

Hi friends, I have some problem about counter instructions in CX Programmer. I connected CJ1M CPU11 with CX-Programmer via serial cable. In MONITOR MODE some of counter(CNT) instructions shows ERROR in the PV area while some counter instructions shows current counter value correctly. What could be the reason of this problem......kindly help.....

The CNT instruction PV value must be a BCD value. Please check these values to make sure they are not integer values. BCD numbers should be preceded by the # symbol and contain digits 0-9 only. Hope this will help.

Also, make sure you are monitoring in HEX format and not decimal. Check the icons in the toolbar...

Is the PV a constant or an address ? If it is an address i would check if there is not another instruction that write something in it.
