TWO MASTERS IN MODBUS

Hello I want to know if i can use two Masters in a Modbus network with 10 slaves , so that each one of the two masters can work independently . Thanks

From my recollection. the modbus network is a master slave configuration..based on a serail RS232 or RS485 standard. It is not a token passing network, a simple and extremely common method of communications. Having two masters on teh one netork would result in a similar scenario as crosstalk. It could be likend to two managers in a factory using the same PA system to issue instructions to workers at the same time...a lot would be said but nothing would be done....
