AIDA is a global leader in the design, manufacture, sale, service, refurbishment and modernization of metal stamping presses and metalforming automation equipment. Currently AIDA has more than 3,000 presses operating in North America and 80,000 worldwide, with capacities ranging from 35 to 4,000 metric tons. AIDA is the pioneer in developing Servo Direct Drive technology for stamping press applications. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team.The ideal candidate will have a broad mix of experience and skills in the areas of electrical engineering, equipment installation and start-up, troubleshooting, project management, and manufacturing operations. What you need for this position: ·Three to five years of experience in engineering design of analog and digital electrical controls, preferably capital equipment, machine tool, automation, or stamping press design. ·Working knowledge of PLC’s such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and programing ability of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). ·Proficient with CAD software for preparation of electrical drawings. (Preferably AutoCAD Electrical). ·Working knowledge of components used in the machine tool industry and knowledge of AC and DC motion Controls. ·Good trouble shooting and diagnostic problem solving skills. ·Servo control system design experience is a plus. ·Excellent speaking, writing and listening communication skills. ·Leadership skills that help you effectively manage projects. ·Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and or equivalent work experience. What you'll be doing: ·Prepare specifications, electrical schematics, layout drawings, and software for control of metal stamping presses and auxiliary equipment in accordance with AIDA Engineering Standards and customer specifications. ·Act as liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing/Assembly and outside vendors to ensure the manufacturability of all designed parts and assemblies. ·Investigate and help resolve engineering or design related problems that occur with parts and assemblies in the design and manufacturing phases. ·Conduct, assist and/or participate in design reviews for assigned projects. ·Take responsibility to assure projects/tasks assigned and undertaken meet goals for cost, schedule and product performance.
