90-30 Oem protection

I have 3 90-30 CPU 323 ( backplane) plc which are oem protection enabled. ( Few years ago some body enabled ) Machine manufacture will send me new eeprom. If we change eeprom do we also cancel the oem protection. I mean the password stored eeprom or ram area?
