Posted 7 May 2011 Not only must you return the unit to the manufacturer, their process of removing the password will erase the program. There is no work-around. Start trying to guess the password (note, if a display was attached and could make modifications to values then the password had to have been the capital letter 'A' followed by exactly 7 numbers.) If that isn't realistic then start re-writing the program using whatever documentation exists. If you have someone else write it then make sure of at least one of the following: The person is immortal They don't password protect the CPU You keep documentation of the program and its password. But asking about methods to... break or crack this password Is what put it over the edge. But I think I provided useful information - except possibly for the last part.
