1756-CNBR card erroring

2 posts in this topic

Hi guys, I have a 1756-CNBR card (Series D Rev 5.32) on a rack. The processor on the rack is a 1756-L55. Yesterday we noticed that we had no comm's to this processor. We checked the 1756-CNBR card and the traffic was 99%. We re-seated the card and it came back working fine, with the traffic settling at 42%. This happened us before, about 1 1/2 years ago, when an SI had put a second Processor onto the rack to do some commissioning. Of course the SI told us that he had done nothing but we were able to point it back at him. When this happened yesterday nobody was working on the ControlNet network or on the rack. I was wondering if anyone has any idea's on what might have caused this. Thanks, Conor

Your SI was correct - he did not do anything This is a known "497 days" anomaly that was corrected in 2005 - just upgrade FW to 5.50 or higher (7.xx is better) and it will take care of it. It was a service advisory on this back in 2005 Edited by Contr_Conn
