16#0109 Connection Request Error to ABB ACS800

2 posts in this topic

RSLogix5000 18.00 and Linx 2.51 on WinXP Pro SP2 x86. Trying to use EthernetIP ENBT module to connect through a MOXA switch to ABB's RETA-01 module on an ACS800-U11. I can connect and control the drive and motor with no problems using Assemblies 101 and 100. When using Assemblies 103 and 102 I get the error: "16#0109 TAG: Abb-RETA:I" on the ETHERNET - MODULE Generic. The Data Types (which I got from ABB) are 24 Bytes for both input and output. The ETHERNET - MODULE is set to use 103 and 102 each with 12 (16 bit) words. The ACS800 uses 12 words for its fieldbus communications. All the sizes seem to match up, yet there is still a sizing error...

I think I know the problem ... I just got the control to work with 4 Words instead of 12. I think 12 Word means 12 in and 12 out, whereas the ACS800 only has 12 total: 6 in, 6 out. Too bad there is no 6-word Assembly for 103 and 102....
