OC221 to OD211 output moduls for CQM1

Hi Everybody, I'm using CQM1-CPU21-E with ID-211 input module, and two OC221 output modules. I'm considering to change both output modules to OD211 due to high relay failure at OC221. Does anyone know if program change needed in this case or does those output modules are drop-in compatible? Also. my load is inductive, do I need to consider parallel diode when switching to transistor output module? Appreciate your help. Michael.

Yes both types of output units use the same memory mapping and as you do not need to register an IO table with the CQM1 series you can exchange them withouth programming. I would however suggest to wire the outputs to ice cube relays to drive your loads.
